Boxing Day Blowout Sale

If you've visited our website and looked around the online store, or if you've stopped by our shop then you will have seen that our counters are telling us that there are just 3 days and so many more hours left until Santa is coming to our homes, if you believe in that sort of thing. Regardless of your belief in Santa Claus there are only 3 days left until Christmas Day, of course you may not celebrate Christmas and that is perfectly fine, I wish you a Merry, Happy, Joyous, seasonal holiday of your own choosing. In our home we celebrate Christmas, it's my most favorite time of year. As you know I love to give and that includes discounts & Sales. Here in our area the day after Christmas is called "Boxing Day". What a wonderful day, similar to our Southern neighbors with Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving; we have a huge sale (mind you it's not quite as large as Black Friday :( ) but it's a sale nonetheless. Here at Payette Custom Creations we have decided to have a huge Boxing Day Sale where EVERYTHING IN STORE and we're offering it all at 25-50% off.
"What's the catch?", yes, I heard you think that... the catch is that it's IN STORE only, one day only. And after our sale we will be closing the store for the rest of the year. As of 9 pm December 26th, 2016 we will be closed and will not reopen again until Monday, February 13th, 2017. In that time we will be doing a little renovation, a lot of making of new products and best of all, spending much overdue time with our family.

What's that? You live too far away and cannot come into the store? Don't worry, After the store closes on Boxing Day we will reopen our webstore (yes it will be shut down during our store's sale hours) and we will continue to have a "Boxing Week Sale" ONLINE ONLY where all remaining IN STOCK items will then be listed online for 25-50% off and the best part is, your orders will ship the SAME BUSINESS DAY, if you place your order by 7 pm EST. Our online Boxing Week Sale will run from December 26th at roughly 10pm until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, December 31st, 2016. At which time our webstore will return to it's former pumpkin form and all sales will end. But regular ordering will still be possible while our storefront is closed for the month of January. We will be happy to set up times for picking up of any items order ed from local customers, please just leave a list of 3 dates, that would work best for you for picking up, in your "order notes" so that we can arrange to accommodate your pick up.

I also want to take time, again, to thank everyone for their support and business this holiday season. It's been a pleasure to work with you all.

Ladies Night Out Shopping Event

Today we're attending the Ladies Night Out Shopping Event at the Strathacona Paper Center Here in Napanee, Ontario. I thought this would be another great opportunity to get our name out there and let the local community know about our little store.

Clearing Out Scrapbook Supplies

After much consideration we have decided not to carry Scrapbook Supplies any longer. We have a smaller store and cannot stock our shelves with as many supplies as we'd like because they just aren't selling here. We are making everything 50% off and hoping to get them all cleared out promptly to make room for new products that will be hitting the shelves very shortly.
If you're interested stop in to the store, we're open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9-4 and Fridays 9-4 5-9.

Single sheets of Cardstock, stickers, stamps, border punches, corner punches, embellishments, and more. Stop by to see what we have in store or check out the Clearance section of the website for frequent updates.

Write A Letter To Santa And He'll Write Back!

November 1st is approaching fast, that's the day I like to mail the letter to Santa. We like to get our letters to Santa in plenty of time for the kids to get a letter back in the mail. My middle daughter pointed out today that we didn't get a letter back the last couple of years. I have come to the conclusion that these little ones of mine have not been including a return address... Way to go kids!! This year mommy will be helping with that to ensure they get a reply.

If your children are writing letters to Santa send them to:

Santa Claus

North Pole

and make sure you include a return address so that they receive a letter in return.

With only 55 days left to get all of our wishes in, now is a good time to do so.

Have a great rest of your Sunday everyone.

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town...

Oh it's that glorious time of year again, we're eating turkey dinners and making turkey stew, leftover turkey sandwiches and pumpkin pie. We're getting ready to hang out with family and friends that we haven't seen in a year and we're getting super excited for the day the big guy comes. We have a fantastic Santa Sack for the big day. It's back by popular demand and awaiting your customization.
If you're interested in ordering one of these please place your order soon. We're only getting one shipment this year so once they're gone, they are gone. Follow THIS LINK to order your sack today. We currently have a 14 day turn around. This doesn't mean your order will definitely take 14 days but with all of the sign orders, t-shirt orders and other orders coming in we want to ensure that we don't fall behind. If you want to place another order or stop by a craft sale that we'll be attending this season please check out the where to buy section of our website for information on where we're going to be. Have a great day everyone, I better get back to work. Enjoy the rest of your week.

~Christmas Giveaway~

It's that time of year again.... But this year our December Giveaway is a little different. I will be doing a physical draw (names out of a box, talk about old school) and anyone who shops with us, either online or in store, will have their name put into a draw for 1 (one) free item, up to $50. If you're new to us and a friend shared our information with you, be nice and share that information with us because if you win the free item we would like to give your friend who referred you a little "Thank You" gift as well.

There is no limit to enter this giveaway either. I do have some customers who come in weekly, and I want you to know that YES you get a ballet for every time you purchase. So if you buy online and pick up in store that's one ballet. If you see something you like while you're picking up your items and you buy that in store that's one more ballet. So, if you're one of my weekly, bi-weekly shoppers you could have a lot of ballets in the box when it's time to draw the winner.

Also, make note that we will be at a few Craft Sales in the Napanee area over the next month and a half and we will have our draw box there with us so anyone who purchases can enter the draw. So if you're in the area please stop in and see us there, for a list of shows please visit our website here. If you're interested in a custom order please contact us today to get your custom orders in or stop by the store and see what goodies we currently have available.

Please also make note that our store hours have changed to accommodate the increase in custom orders. We are now only open Tuesday 9-4, Wednesday 9-4, Friday 9-9

Thank you for your interest in shopping locally this holiday season. Please spread the word of our little store because remember for every customer who comes into the store and buys something BOTH your name and theirs go into our Christmas draw which will be for ONE free item (up to a $50 value).

Draw will be held on December 15th, if you wish to use it for a custom prize you must order by the 18th of December. Free gift item expires on December 24th, 2016.

***And NO this is NOT the 12 Days of Christmas Flash Giveaways, they are still happening from the 1st-12th.***

Happy Anniversary To Us.

Last week my husband and I celebrated our 9th Anniversary. We didn't see each other until the weekend so we exchanged some lovely gifts then. I applied vinyl to a pot (because 9 years is Pottery) and he made me some gorgeous flowers, among other things. It's dark outside here and the pot is outside the store so I can't share a picture of it with you but here is a photo of his gorgeous flowers. Those who follow along on Facebook or Instagram have likely already seen them. And for those who don't follow us, check these out....
Beautiful right?

Okay so here is where you all come into our story...
As many of our regular followers know family is very important to us and because of that we've decided to continue our 9th Anniversary celebration with you. We are offering our "Family Name Sign" for the next 9 days for $9 off. To take advantage of this offer all you have to do is head over to our website and order your sign today, tomorrow, or any day over the next 9 days. This sale will be over on October 31st. Orders will be shipped as quickly as possible but please remember to allow 3-5 business days for your order to leave the workshop.
These signs make fantastic gifts for Christmas, a wedding you're attending, an anniversary, hostess gifts, many occasions would suit these lovely signs. If you would like to share this offer with your friends and family who might be interested in this sign we would love to help them out and make them a sign for their family too.

These signs measure 9"x11.75" not framed and 10.5"x13.25" framed. They go with any home decor which makes gift giving easier.

We just want to say, once again, we appreciate all of the business we get from local customers and customers from a far. You all make this journey possible and that's why we like to give a little back every once in awhile. Whether it's our giveaways or discounts like this one, we want you all to know how much we appreciate your consideration of our products when shopping.

Thank you all!

And Just Like That I've Been Framed

Well, I put it off for months, closer to a year actually, I didn't want to jump on the wagon with all of the other crafters out there but I framed my first sign last week.
Available on our website
A friend of mine, who's local, just so happens to be completely full for her wood signs for Christmas so she sent her cousin to me for a sign. I received a quote and a photo. First the quote came "If you think our hands are full you should see our hearts" I just so happened to have three files with this quote and figured "yep, I can do that." But then she sent "I was thinking of this style that Jessica does..." with this photo...
Photo from Wilde Wood Revivals on Facebook
And my sign making days were forever changed. I made the lady her sign. And I love it. I loved it so much that I haven't stopped framing signs since. I'm addicted. I love them. I always told my husband that I liked them because to me they give that "complete" image. But I didn't want to fall victim to the latest trend. I love this sign, here is the lovely sign that I made the lady...
Available on our website
After I made this sign, I was so proud of my accomplishment that I kept on going. After I was done admiring this sign I made another, a little different, but I totally fell in love with the look of my "Love Grows Here" sign that I had to make another. I wasn't sure what to do. I had a gorgeous piece of wood and wanted it to look the same as the Love sign, but I didn't know what to put on it. Then it just came to me. I designed both of these signs on a "feeling" that the piece gave me, or at least that I wanted it to give me.
"Love grows here" available on our website
Carpe Diem Sign available on our website
Pretty signs right? I love them, I know that not everyone will share my taste, and that's fine. I custom to best suit the needs of my customers but for the craft sale that I'm preparing for I try to mix it up. A little of my taste, a little of things that aren't so appealing to me. I just cross my fingers and hope that other people will like my creations. Every purchase, whether it's one of our signs, glass block lights that were really popular last Christmas or even the socks that seem to be taking off this year, every single purchase helps my family survive and for that I'm eternally grateful and I will continue to do what I can to make pretty works of art for those out there willing and able to love them also. And hey, the giveaways are fun too!!

I have made a couple of framed signs for the Christmas sale that's coming up in December. For more information on that event you can check our "Where to Buy" page. At the bottom is where we list the sales we'll be attending. Well, I better get back to creating. :) Have a wonderful night everyone! Take care. And thank you for reading my ramblings :)

~~GIVEAWAY~~ "Bring me a Drink Socks

Okay, since Christmas is in less than three months now, I'm super excited as always to start giving stuff away. Yes I will be running my annual "12 Days of Christmas" giveaway again this year so stay tuned in December for that. Such a long wait, I know, so I decided to give some socks away today, well not exactly today. I'll be running the giveaway until Thanksgiving, I'm Canadian everyone so that's just over one week away, it's not the end of November ;)

So, here's what we're offering...
No, not all six pairs, sorry! But your choice of one pair. It will say "If you can read this" on one sock and on the other you get to customize "Bring me ....." what would you have? A drink? Me, you could bring me a Sling... Bonus points for anyone who comments on this post knowing that I'm referring to :)

***PLEASE NOTE*** I do verify ALL entries so please don't say you have done something if you haven't because it will be deleted. It saves me a lot of time if I don't have to go through and delete those false entries :)

There are two mandatory entries in order to unlock the other entries in the Rafflecopter widget. They are pretty simple, Like us on Facebook so you can stay up to date on our products, and leave a blog post so that if you win I know what to put on your socks. Pretty simple!

You do not have to do them both to be entered into the giveaway. You can do just one and have only one entry into the giveaway but you MUST do BOTH to access the remaining entry options. If you say you've done an entry that you haven't done it will be deleted. I've been running giveaways on my review website for the better part of 7 years. I run fair giveaways. Please be fair to yourself and others who are entering. Thank you everyone for your understanding. Good luck!

Christmas Cards For Our Troops Overseas

Since I was rather sad that I was too late for the Operation Santa Claus donations for this year I did some reading on-line to see what else I could do for our Troops that are away from their families, homes, loved ones, friends, everything, this holiday season. I stumbled upon the Forces.ca webpage for families and friends to send letters and parcels to their beloved Troops who are going to be away for the holidays and as I read on I became very thankful that mine isn't too far away this coming holiday season, far enough but not as far as some. The holidays can be a stressful time for many reasons but spending them without your loved ones because they are in another country, on the ocean somewhere or wherever they may be... it really does make it so much more difficult. As I said, I am very thankful that mine is on Canadian soil again this year. I wish he was home, but only time will tell if that happens. So anyhow.... I decided that since these Troops are far away and I can't send them the awesome t-shirts, socks and travel mugs that I was planning to send, I thought I will make them some Christmas cards and send a bulk parcel to each of the 19 locations that we are allowed mail without being an "authorized sender". Yes, we do have some locations that you can't send mail to.

Well, I thought I would share this information just in case you'd like to join my Holiday Cheer Train. If you're local and would like to send letters without paying to ship them yourself please feel free to stop into the store and drop them off. I will add them to whichever one of my parcels you would like to send them to :) If you're interested in this please climb aboard the train and get your letters/cards ready and mailed. Here is all of the information that you will need...

Bring me a drink....

I had no idea when I made the first few pairs of these socks that they would be so loved. I have had so many awesome comments about them and a few people have ordered a couple of pairs. I'm so thrilled that they are so well loved. I know that I really like them. I've made myself a "beer" pair and a "whisky" pair... It's okay, I'm Canadian I am allowed to spell it without the "e". Although, for a split second I thought I made a mistake. A lot of the spelling that I use is "the American way" which I'm sure those who've followed my blogs over the past 6-7 years have noticed that. Ooops.
Some people are so creative with what they want their feet to say "DINNER", "COFFEE", "CHOCOLATE", one lady even asked it to say "WATER" now there's dedication. My daughter wants a pair that says "bring me a taco". Me, I'll stick to my whisky. What would you want your socks to say? Please leave a comment below letting me know. Of course "beer" and "wine" are what started this whole thing so I'm curious, would you ask for either of those or something different? Don't be shy, please, share your thoughts!!!

If you're interested in ordering either the "Bring me a drink" or "Bring me food" socks please click on their names and follow the link to the website. We would be happy to fill an order for you.

Living In Color Art Therapy ~Giveaway~

Has anyone noticed that "Art Therapy" seems to be an exciting thing right now? I personally have always enjoyed coloring, ever since I was a young girl and although growing up I never really saw it as being therapeutic, I definitely see that now. Nowadays you have posters and pictures, coloring books and so much more that are geared towards adults, and yes there are still many for children too.

Our oldest two daughters actually gave each other big posters last year for Christmas, it was kind of funny actually, they did pick different posters but it was still funny. So, I decided that Payette Custom Creations is going to be getting some stock in that will include some Art Therapy Greeting Cards, Washi Tape, and Tags... How exciting!! I mean I know I'm very excited.

I'm pretty excited to bring these to the store because I know that I get the urge some times to sit back and relax, in the tub with candles, okay well maybe not. My four wouldn't let me be alone long enough to have a bath, 5 minutes in the shower is more than enough for mommy... Anyone else run into this issue with children? I thought they were supposed to grow out of it eventually but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon in my house.... So, my relaxing comes in the form of sitting on the front deck after the children have all gone to sleep and I just get to take in the cool August night. The sun setting, the smell of brisk air. That's exactly where I love to spend my nights, and definitely how I like to relax, just me and the nice breeze. Especially lately, we've been having some pretty hot days these past two weeks or so. So, that's my relaxation time. Sometimes I will doodle, I always loved to draw. And other times I'll get right back to work... how about you? How do you like to relax? Leave a comment below letting me know, it counts as one entry into this awesome giveaway...

These items will all be in stock by Mid-September but I thought I would offer a giveaway for some of these exciting new items. I will give away 8 different random packs, sorry you don't get to choose. Each giveaway pack will include one (1) random pack of greeting cards, one (1) random pack of tags and one (1) random washi tape roll. Each Art Therapy Pack is valued just over $7.00 Canadian.

Good luck to everyone who enters (Rafflecopter Giveaway Widget Below)
:) Happy Crafting!

Thank You For Your Support

Okay, so I do not have a lot of the products in stock yet that I would like to have.... yet being the word to remember here... they will be coming I just don't know when at the moment. I have wanted to get so many different items in the store but being unsure if they will sell or not makes it difficult to decide what to bring in. Yesterday a couple of ladies stopped into the store to see what we had in stock and I felt horrible..... I didn't have what they were looking for in stock yet. One of my biggest challenges since I have branched out to include scrapbook supplies into the store is knowing what to order in first. I know there are scrappers and card makers out there and I know they are like me and want everything; paper, embossing folders, stickers, dies, stamps (I need every stamp ever created!) and so much more. But what order do I get them in? I've got stickers, embossing folders, washi tape, other tapes, I have a few stamps, dies, machines coming but will they sell? It's so hard to know what to get in first. Which is why I offer items for pre-order. That way I know what to order for my customers, you tell me ahead of time and I order it and some more just because I want to have a variety :)

One of the problems I was faced with in the first month of the store's official opening was getting stock because of the Canada Post's back and forth mail strike threat, now that seems to be in the past so hopefully it doesn't happen again. And then there is the biggest problem facing me at the moment: the Canadian Dollar. For the companies I have that are Canadian there is no issue with the dollar, it is what it is. But lets face it, it's down and it's not coming back up for awhile. And a lot of scrapbook manufacturers and companies that I deal with are in the USA. With the dollar not what it once was I'm not able to get as much product because I'm spending more to buy less of the items themselves, then the shipping charges cost more, the duty costs more. All in all doing business with the US costs more right now. But despite all of that, I still keep my prices at the MSRP. For the products I get from the US I take their MSRP and I convert that into Canadian funds. I don't add anything more to it, I simply convert the value to Canadian, no gimmicks, no hidden charges...
The only time you will see the price more than just the exchange is in our Webstore. We have started offering "Free Shipping" in order to do that we made the decision to raise the cost of the items slightly to offset the cost of shipping. If you opt to use the PICKUP code online then 5% is deducted from your order before checking out, then you simply have to wait for your email letting you know that your order is packaged up and ready for pick up in our store.

I want to always conduct an honest business and I want people to know that the items purchased here are not marked up like so many places. They are the value they should be. Many of the stamp companies that I deal with have very strict rules to prevent price gouging, I really like dealing with those companies, we're in the same state of thinking and that means a lot to me. And even though the dollar is not too good right now, I'm not going to make my customers pay more just because I had to pay more. I chalk it up to the cost of doing business. If I get deals and discounts I like to pass those on to my customers as well. Why wouldn't everyone being do this for their customers? It seems to make perfect business sense to me.

I guess for me the thing is that I'm not in this to get rich, that would be great of course but not what it's about for me. I'm in this to provide quality products to people just like me who want to craft and be able to find products to craft with. Whether for business or pleasure; I want to help people find the products they need at prices they can afford. That's what it's all about for me here at Payette Custom Creations. So, if you think my prices are too high, I am sorry for that, but they are right where they are supposed to be as per the Manufacturer/Company.

As always I want to say thank you to all of those who continue to support our small Canadian Family Owned Business by shopping locally, within Canada, and for spreading the word. I appreciate the referrals to your friends and family, it means a lot to us. A very nice couple of ladies came into the store yesterday looking for some stamps and dies, which of course I don't have in stock yet :( As they were leaving the one lady asked if we were going to carry the Misti... OMG YES!!!! My only issue with this is that I want one of each all for myself! Who doesn't? I think I could manage to do everything with the Memory Misti but I still want them all. Is there anyone else out there who needs to have one of everything in a crafting series? No? Just me? Well, don't tell my husband then because he thinks all of us crafters are the same haha. Beside the photos below you will find the Payette Custom Creations price and product numbers, if you want to order one please let me know I would love to fill that order for you. Also, we have a description below from their website letting those who don't already know about them what they're all about.

Do you have a Misti? Do you love it? Hate it? How do you feel?
Do you want a Misti? Why? What is most appealing to you about it?
Please leave us a comment below telling us and others what you think. Oh and if you want to order one you can tell me then too. If we have enough interest then we'll get these in stock even sooner.

Your MISTI is an investment you will treasure and enjoy, while saving you time and money while you make professional looking cards that reflect your creativity.

Foam pad, sample grid paper and two magnets are included.

Neodymium magnets are very brittle and very strong magnetically. Therefore, it is crucial to handle these magnets with extreme care to avoid personal injury and damage to the magnets. Fingers can be severely pinched between attracting magnets. Magnets can chip if allowed to “jump at” an attracting object. It is highly recommended that when constructing rare earth magnetic assemblies, they be magnetized after assembly.

Because of their brittle nature, magnets will not be warrantied, replaced, returned, or exchanged.

Each MISTI contains: As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10

Its simple hinge design provides consistent stamping for the novice or experienced crafter. It will accommodate both the red rubber cling mount stamps and clear stamp. MISTI will provide a platform for multiple stamp techniques. It offers the ability to use magnets to help positioning. (2 Magnets and foam insert are included)

Payette Custom Creations On Facebook

Well, I have decided to start a new Facebook page for just the Scrapbook Supplies, eventually there will be other craft supplies. I started to feel that maybe some people weren't too happy to all of a sudden be bombarded with Supplies. I mean really, they "Like" my page to see all of the handmade, custom, personalized goodies and then BAM in 2016 it's stamps, stickers, die cuts, folders, glue, adhesive and it's a bunch of Lawn Fawn, Tom Holtz, Momenta, EK Tools and more. Some of these lovely fans don't craft and they don't care to hear about or see these posts and I understand that. So, I felt the right thing to do was start a new page. That's right we have two Facebook Business Pages now. Payette Custom Creations will be displaying only handmade gifts and Payette Custom Creations Supplies will, well, be displaying supplies :) I hope no one left the page over the past few months because of this. But the issue is now resolved. So if you want gifts go HERE and if you want supplies go HERE, and if you want both well go HERE and HERE!! :)

I am still slowly working on the webstore so that you will be able to go there for everything but until I get it filled up please feel free to email us or message on Facebook to order items. As always you can order on line and pick up in store for free (well the products still cost the same but no shipping!!!)

Have a great night everyone! Happy Crafting.

The KMFRC Rep Shirts

Well, they are back for more. I feel honored, I really do.
The KMFRC has ordered a few more t-shirts for their family reps (the green ones below). I have had the extreme pleasure to make them a few t-shirts in the past. There were the ones for the Commando Challenge (Above picture) for the spouses to feel what their husband's go through from time to time and of course the last order of lime green network shirts. Now they are needing some more. There could be a couple of different reasons for this need, they could have gotten some new reps or some may have been posted since it is posting season. I know that for at least one they were posted out. She's a friend of mine and I really enjoyed having her to talk to. I don't get attached to too many people, but this lady was an instant friend. Our stories are similar and yet so different. I just adore her. Very sad to see her go, but she has a shirt to remember me by :) and I'm sure that we will be posted to the same place again one day. God will definitely bring us together again, just hopefully not at her current location because I don't want to go there. hehe.
One reason I love working for the KMFRC is pretty simple. They helped my children! When my husband was deployed last year we discovered "Deployment Socials" WHAT?! As if that's a thing. But it is. Children with moms and dads who are away and husbands and wives who have been patiently waiting for the current call of duty to be over so their loved ones are home all get together in one place and mix 'n' mingle, tell stories, share happy times, sad times, any times. And the best part... it happens in different rooms, that's right someone watches your children for you (even when you have four) and you get to talk to grown ups. This was a big deal for me. I love that the children got to socialize with other children going through separation and that I got to talk to big people who used big words, it was a big deal!! That is where I met a couple ladies that I have become pretty good friends with and reconnected with a blast from the past :) It really made my 6 months as a "single parent" fly bye. That's a term I really don't like by the way. If my husband's away and you call me a single parent don't be shocked with my lack of shyness in telling you what a messed up thing that is to call someone. Yes, I may be raising my children on my own temporarily but I am not SINGLE. Alone: Yes, Single: No! Anyway, back to the KMFRC, I'm so thankful to the one who told me about the programs there. Until last year it was just a splash pad to us. It is amazing to feel like you actually belong, like all of the emotions that you experience are similar to someone else's and although it doesn't take away the feeling that you're going crazy some days it certainly does help you not feel alone in your crazy moments, it's nice to know there are other crazies just like you out there. How can that not be a fun evening?! Oh and did I mention WE CRAFT!!! That's right, you say child free craft night and I am there. All over that!! We have yet to be back, although I totally plan on it one day.

For more information head to their website, here is a little information from there: The Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) is a registered non-profit, charitable organization that supports and enhances the health and well-being of the military community. The KMFRC is Kingston's primary agency dedicated to meeting the unique needs of the military community. Programs and services are designed to promote community development and to provide social, educational and volunteer opportunities, empowering the military community and enhancing their health and well-being.

Also, one last note from me. If you're in the Military and have a spouse, if you are said Military spouse, or know someone who is, contact your local MFRC and find out what programs that they have available for you. Do they have Deployment Socials? Do they have one day a month daycare so you can go get groceries, take a show or just go pee by yourself? I'm sure there are programs available for families that they didn't know existed. It's important for your mental health to reach out and be social and who better to do that with then someone who understands what you're going through? Call or go on line today and find out what you can. You'll be happy you did. As for me, I have to get back to making some lime green shirts. Have a great night everyone.

Pizza & Ice Cream Anyone?

As most of you who have followed my blogs over the past 7-8 years know, I have four wonderful children. Each and every one of them love to craft, they are creative in so many ways. I remember as a child I LOVED to draw, and now all of my children draw and they are really good! Super proud mommy right here!

My middle daughter, the 10 year old, loves to work with me and my Cricut, no I sadly do not carry the machine in store because the company has never gotten back to me with wholesale information. Insert disappointed face here. I would love to carry Cricut machines instead of just their accessories, cartridges, mats, markers and tools. But that's a story for another time. Today we are talking about my talented little girl who is going to her first slumber party. Her BFF is turning 10 and she is super excited to go and have a fun movie night with her friends. While she's very excited for the party and as creative as she is, she decided she would turn a song that her friend made up into a t-shirt. At this point I am completely gleaming with pride, so excited for her to expand her crafting to making t-shirts. I definitely know when the time comes for someone to take over this family business it will be in good hands with her. The more she wants to learn the more I get to teach her. Again, very happy and proud.

So the song that her friend made up goes like this...
"I like my pizza and my ice cream separate, but don't spread them out too much.
I like my ice cream and my pizza separate, but I want my ice cream first..."
There is more to the song by my daughter forgets it. Which doesn't really matter, you'll understand the shirt with just that bit of the song. So, she took the keywords from this song that her friend made up and this is the finished t-shirt product.
I personally think it is so adorable. She designed it herself and made a fantastic one of a kind gift for her friend. I can't believe how creative she is, and how thoughtful. She's an amazing little girl with a great heart and a fantastic personality to go along with it.

New Items Arriving Weekly

I am very excited that I have decided to include supplies into my store this year. We have many items arriving weekly. Currently we have a nice selection of Darice® Embossing Folders, Forever In Time Stickers, Forever In Time Dot Adhesives, Washi Tape, Fabric Tape, Ribbon Tape and Cardstock galore; more than 200 different sheets (solid colors and patterns) available in 12x12 or 8.5x11. As always we do ship but we may be changing the way our shipping currently is calculated. I'm not sure, with all of these new products it's hard to say what is going to be the most economical way to do this for my customers.
We were planning our Grand Opening to be July 1st but sadly my Gramma passed away so we have since postponed the Grand Opening. I took a week off of work and kept the store closed. I just couldn't handle dealing with it at the time. But I'm back into the full swing of things now. Getting everything re-organized in there and ready for some scrapbookers to come and enjoy the store and all we have to offer.
If you're looking for something in particular and haven't seen it here or on our Facebook Page then please feel free to leave a comment on any blog post and I will be sure to see if I can get my hands on it. Anything available in store is available to be shipped via online purchase, it's just taking me a little longer than anticipated to get the online store fully stocked with what we have in store. Please keep in mind, anything you see on the website in the online store that is marked "out of stock" can be ordered by contacting me at PayetteCustomCreations(at)gmail(dot)com
Stay tuned for posts with pictures of all of the great products we will be carrying from many many great lines....

My Favorite Liquid Glue

**All opinions expressed in this post are my own. I was not paid for this nor did I receive any other compensation from the company**

I have really been getting into paper crafts lately and have done a lot of card making. I wasn't sure which glue to grab and although this one is a little pricey, $5.49 for 48 ml. I went out on a limb one day and picked one up. Boy am I happy I did. Tombow is now my go to Liquid Glue. I absolutely love how it comes with two tips, pen or broad, and is so easy to use. I apply a very thin line to my paper or cardstock and press tightly for a few seconds and it's set. I can't believe how wonderful this product is to use. I love the ease of use and the quick drying of this adhesive. It makes it so easy to make multiple cards in one day.
Just for a little enlightenment into how in love I am with this product here is a photo of my current stash inside my house. This doesn't include the bottles I have at work in the shop. ;-)

If you're looking at getting into paper crafts, scrapbooking, card making or other and you're wondering what kind of glue to purchase that will make your paper work more enjoyable then I would strongly suggest trying this glue out. You won't be sorry that you did!

If you'd like to stay up to date with what I'm making feel free to join me over on Facebook or Instgram. I am always happy to share what I'm making for sale or for personal use.

Here are some photos of cards I've made recently.
Until next time, Happy Crafting

**Payette Custom Creations purchased one or more of the products mentioned above. I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
